Our Journey

From a Small Stall to India’s Trusted Teacher Education Book Partner

1986 - The Beginning

Bookman began its journey as a small stall of religious books set up at Kripal Ashram in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. With a vision to make knowledge accessible, the foundation of what would become a lifelong mission in education was laid.

Expansion into School Book Supply

Through the dedication and relentless hard work of Shri Atma Ram Dogra, Bookman expanded into supplying school books across Delhi NCR.

Driving a Maruti Omni van himself, he personally connected with schools — building trust, one institution at a time.

Entering the International Market

With the support of his son, Shri Sushil Dogra, the business took its next big step — exporting educational books to the United States market, opening doors to international academic collaboration.

Establishment of Publishing House

Recognizing the growing demand for specialized Teacher Education resources, Bookman moved beyond distribution and established its own publishing house — focusing on NTT, ECCE, D.El.Ed, B.Ed, and other Teacher Training programmes.
